Living Spaces

Our Living Rooms offer the perfect blend of comfort and entertainment. Unwind in the Drawing Room, complete with a piano, plush sofas, and an inviting open fire for cozy gatherings. For movie nights, retreat to the Television Room featuring Sky TV and a relaxing log burner. Don't forget our spacious Dining Room, where meals can be enjoyed with friends and family around tables that seat up to 20. And for a bit of fun, challenge your guests to a game of pool in our Games Room with a pub-size table. Experience hospitality like never before!

Kitchen and Utility Room

Discover the serenity of the Kitchen and Utility Room, a breathtaking kitchen area designed for lavish living. This large kitchen, surrounded by expansive glass windows and situated between our building’s elegant wings, boasts all the utilities you'll need for a perfect getaway. Whether you're whipping up a simple breakfast or preparing a feast for loved ones, this space ensures a comfortable and delightful experience throughout your stay.

Equipment provided includes:

Two Ovens, Hob, Microwave, Dishwasher, Toaster, Kettle, Two Fridges, Freezer, Nespresso Coffee machine, washing machine, and dryer.
Cookware for 20 people
Glasses for 20 people (champagne, wine, high ball, pint glasses)
Plastic glasses for use around the Hot Tub.
Crockery and cutlery for up to 30 people (including large, medium, and small plates, pasta and cereal bowls, cups, mugs, etc.)
We also leave dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing up cloths, bin bags, tea towels, and oven gloves.

Bedrooms

Experience the comfort of our holiday bedrooms, designed to make your stay memorable. With six spacious bedrooms on the first floor and four more upstairs, you'll find the perfect nook to relax after a day of adventure. Each room includes a chest of drawers, wardrobes, and bedside tables, and we provide bed linen and towels, ensuring you have everything you need for a restful getaway.

Bed configurations are as follows:

First Floor Bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 - Emporer-size bed
Bedroom 2 - King-size bed
Bedroom 3 - One double bed
Bedroom 4 - King-size bed
Bedrooms 5 & 6 - are two interconnected rooms with one entrance from the corridor. Across the two rooms, there is a King-size bed and two single beds. This room is ideal as a family suite.

Second Floor Bedrooms:

Bedroom 7 - One King-size and one single bed
Bedroom 8 - Two single beds
Bedroom 9 - Two single beds
Bedroom 10 - King-size bed

Bathrooms

There are six bathrooms and two half-bathrooms spread over the three floors:

Ground Floor
- Cloakroom 1 - with toilet and sink.
- Cloakroom 2 - with toilet and sink.

First Floor
- Bathroom 1 - Jack-and-Jill bathroom with large walk-in shower, double sink unit, and toilet.
- Bathroom 2 - Large bathroom with a cast iron bath to relax in, sink unit, and toilet.
- Bathroom 3 - Walk-in shower, sink unit, and toilet.

Second Floor
- Bathroom 4 - Shower over a bath, toilet, and sink unit.
- Bathroom 5 - Shower room with toilet and sink unit.
- Bathroom 6 - Shower with toilet and sink unit.

All bathrooms have: - Underfloor heating - Mirror over the sink - Refillable toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). We leave two towels per person.

Outside

Outside, you'll discover an oasis of tranquility across our beautiful 2-acre garden. It's ideal for games, gatherings, and unwinding in the evenings. Gather around our spacious dining table that comfortably seats 20, and don’t miss the chance to soak in our relaxing log-fired hot tub.

To Hall car park has space for about 10 cars.

Our children's play area is perfect for the little ones while you enjoy a leisurely stroll around the car-free trail around Carsington Reservoir.

Relax and recharge in our picturesque gardens. Our colorful array of flowers and plants bloom all year round, providing a beautiful backdrop to your stay. Take a seat and take it all in, our gardens are designed for you to enjoy at your leisure.

The Exterior Environment

The site is at the bottom of a valley and is flat.
The driveway, car parks and terrace areas have gravel surfaces.
There is parking outside each cottage and the main house, and there is not far to walk from the car to enter your property.
The car parks and exterior areas are well lit and the lights are on timer switches so they are always on when they are needed.
The cottages, communal areas and facilities around the site are well signed so it is easy to navigate your way around.

Summer Cottage-specific Considerations

Summer Cottage is on two floors with both bedrooms upstairs, while the bathroom is downstairs, as such, this cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility needs.

Special Features in All Cottages

The following features are present in all cottages and communal areas:

The doors and door surrounds are in a different colour to walls to make them easy to see.
Light switches and power sockets are positioned so that they are easy to reach and are a different colour to the wall so that they stand-out.
Each bathroom and bedroom has an easy to read sign on the door outside.
The external exits have visible/lighted exit signs.
Location floor plans are positioned on the back of each bedroom door.
All taps are clearly marked as hot or cold water.
All staircases have hand rails.
All internal steps are in a different material to the surrounding flooring so that they are easy to see.
There are no mirrors in the living areas of any property. There are full-length mirrors in all bedrooms and covers for the mirrors are available upon request

Stainsborough sits on the shores of Carsington Water in beautiful countryside. You can easily walk from our land onto the car-free trail around the reservoir.

Closest country pub? The Miner's Arms in Carsington village is 1 mile from the property, and easy walk across fields and partially around the reservoir.

In the local area there's plenty to do. The Peak District National Park is a stones-throw away, and we're surrounded by attractions, outdoor activities and stately homes. Once you've made a reservation, you'll get access to our online guide so that you can plan your stay in advance.

The Standard Booking Terms and Conditions as well as the House Rules for Stainsborough Hall Cottages apply to bookings for this property.

The security deposit for All Cottages at Stainsborough Hall is £500 (this s pre-authorised against your credit card two days before arrival and released within 5 days if nothing needs to be with-held).

Dogs are not accepted in the main house at Stainsborough.

Additional Extras

There is a hot tub fee of £200 per stay.
Log baskets are not included but can be pre-purchased for £15.00 per basket.
BBQ charcoal is not included but can be pre-purchased for £8.00 for a self-lighting bag.
