Standlow Farm — best for flexibility and countryside weekends near Ashbourne

Standlow Farm offers the greatest flexibility for hen groups. It can work for smaller groups from around 4 guests, right through to larger exclusive-use groups of up to 41 guests, depending on which properties are booked.

The accommodation is made up of converted barns and cottages, which makes it ideal for groups who want options. Most beds can be made up as singles, so it works especially well for groups of friends or mixed-age hen parties who need flexible sleeping arrangements rather than lots of shared doubles.

Standlow is a strong choice for countryside hen weekends, relaxed celebration stays and groups who want hot tub options, outdoor space and easy access to Ashbourne, the Peak District and local pubs. There is also a fire pit at Standlow, which works well for slower evenings together after a day out or a hosted activity at the property.

The Cottage Collection is best if your group would prefer separate cottages with a communal barn for eating and gathering together. It gives people more independence and separate sleeping spaces, while still keeping the group together on the same estate.

Holly House — best for big stag groups and larger celebration weekends

Holly House is the best option for bigger hen groups. It works well when you need more bedrooms, larger communal areas and enough space for a full weekend of food, drinks, games, hosted activities and time together.

It has generous shared spaces, flexible bedrooms, a large dining and event space, and optional extras including a hot tub, swim spa and Arctic Cabin. There is also a cinema room with an enormous 100-inch TV, which is ideal if you want to set up a relaxed film night, games room, photo slideshow or cosy space away from the main gathering areas.

It is particularly suited to organised groups who want to bring in a caterer, arrange activities at the house, book pamper treatments, host a private dinner, or create a bigger celebration weekend without having to leave the property too much.
