We will contact the lead guest before arrival to gather the information we need to prepare Stainsborough Hall for your group.

Please respond by the requested dates, as some arrangements cannot be changed at short notice.

Bed Configuration

Several bedrooms can be prepared as either doubles or twins.

Before your stay, we will ask you to confirm your preferred bed configuration. The available options will be shown clearly in your pre-arrival message.

Please submit your choices by the deadline provided. Where we do not receive a response, the rooms will be prepared using their standard configuration.

Requests made after the beds have been prepared may not be possible and could incur an additional housekeeping charge.

Cots and Highchairs

Travel cots and highchairs can be provided when requested in advance.

We will ask how many infants are staying and whether you require any baby equipment. Cot bedding is not provided, so please bring your own suitable bedding.

Please do not place additional mattresses or thick padding inside the travel cots.

Accessibility and Mobility Requirements

Stainsborough Hall is a large property with stairs to three floors, changes in level and some uneven outdoor surfaces.

Before arrival, please let us know if anyone in your group has reduced mobility or any accessibility requirements that may affect their stay. We can explain the layout of the house and help you identify the most suitable bedrooms and facilities.

While we will always try to help, the nature of the building means that not every area is fully accessible.

Guest Numbers

We will ask you to confirm the final number of adults, children and infants staying at the property.

The number of overnight guests must not exceed the occupancy agreed in your booking. Please contact us in advance if your group changes.

Visitors who are not included in the booking must also be agreed with us beforehand.

Estimated Arrival Time

Check-in is available from 3:00 pm.

We may ask for an approximate arrival time so that we know when to expect your group. As this is a self-check-in property, the time does not need to be exact, but it is helpful to know if you expect to arrive particularly late.

Please let us know if your travel plans change significantly.

Optional Extras

Some facilities and services must be booked and paid for in advance.

Where available, we will contact you separately with information about optional extras, including the log-fired hot tub.

These cannot always be added after arrival, so please make any requests by the deadline stated in your pre-arrival messages.

Special Arrangements

Please tell us in advance about any planned caterers, instructors, suppliers or other external providers who will visit during your stay.o play, and we are very happy for it to be enjoyed during your stay.

All visiting suppliers must be approved before arrival and must comply with the property’s access, parking and house rules.

Please also contact us before bringing decorations, arranging activities or making plans that involve people who are not staying at the house.

Supermarket Deliveries

Most major supermarkets deliver to Stainsborough Hall, and many guests find it helpful to arrange a grocery delivery for the beginning of their stay.

Please book your delivery for after your group has arrived and is able to receive it. We cannot accept, unpack or store shopping on your behalf, and deliveries must not be arranged before the 3:00 pm check-in time.

When ordering, please include the lead guest’s mobile number and clear delivery instructions. Mobile reception can be limited, so someone should be ready to meet the driver and direct them to the correct entrance.

Delivery slots can become limited during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays, so we recommend booking well in advance.

Amazon Deliveries

Please direct all Amazon deliveries to the pick up point at the Coop in Wirksworth because they are often lost during the delivery process at Stainsborough Hall where there are so many buildings.
